  the public talk is in the sunday morning seesion.

  and the drama is sunday afternoon.

  I just notice in the 2013 District Convention program that:

  The Public Talk is in the Sunday morning seesion. and the Drama is Sunday afternoon. It used to be the other way around.

  Do you think it was a problem with people leaving early after the drama was over? It does seem weird that they would have the public talk in the morning.

  Is this true? Do the elders really do it like this?

  i put this week's wt paragraph about disfellowshipping on my fb page and said how poor robert's family didn't even check to see whether he was dead or alive in 16 years and a friend of mine of the 'conscious class' commented about how unchristian she felt disfellowshipping to this degree is, and i agreed.. another friend, and uber-jw who has a host of illnesses and yet pioneers, who everytime she and her husband go to another congregation, if he's not appointed within three years they move to another and try for an appointment there - he used to be an elder and no one is willing to promote him again- replied to my thread.

  now keep in mind she has a dfd son and she doesn't even know whether he is dead or alive, because she follows the wt to the tee.

  i just recieved an email stating that the folks here won $8.00 over the weekend.

  so they're going to use the money to procure more tickets and i believe the jackpot is up to like $260 million or some other crazy figure.

  i never participate and i absolutely enjoy watching them waste their money on tickets with a smug haughtiness that only an active jw can muster.

  Elders! Elders everywhere!

  an elder came around this morning at 9am to ask if my husband wanted to come with him on a bible study.

  my husband nipped from the bathroom to the bedroom in his undies to get dressed, while i talked to the elder!

  the elder talked about how he just happened to think my husband might be free this morning, and just happened to get a call from someone wanting a bible study, and then he said to me, "why don't you come visit my house some time?

  It really sounds like they are on a witch hunt. The "drop in" was not conicidence, they are investigating. Be very careful!

  fortunately, i don't have an arrest record.. but i was arrested one day walking through a parking lot when a young woman was struggling to exit her low-slung sports car with no knickers on..
